Oxfam Bookshop

This project was the first interior, which I had to design. The building is currently used as a Bookshop in Canterbury and was to be redesigned for a pilgrim coming to Canterbury. I chose a stonemason as there was a strong connection relating to Canterbury Cathedral, where there is a stonemason’s workshop that I visited. The design has a space for the stonemason to work, sleep, eat and exhibit their work in a gallery space. The existing walls were to be lined with a framework whereby upon lies lightweight stone veneer panels.
