The Pavilion was a project that took up one week. It was a building workshop, which took place with students from the MA Architecture course as well as all the students in year 3 from Interior Architecture and Design. It was run in collaboration with Hanif Kara from Structural Engineers AKT II to come up with design solutions for the deployment of a repetitive timber module. 130 elements were prefabricated in the workshop and over the period of one week we developed competitive proposals, carried out structural tests and finally together we assembled a completed pavilion. The finished pavilion formed a welcoming archway into UCA for students, visiting guests and members of the public.
